My Personal Experience of Finer, Lighter Brown Hair Removal

My unwanted hair was fine and light brown, typical of blondes from Northern European backgrounds.   This type of hair poses big challenges for any hair removal laser as less light will be absorbed into the hair follicle and therefore less thermal energy to damage the stem cells causing hair growth. 

My past treatments have included several different laser and IPL technologies, including diode laser.  Although my hair reduced quite significantly using the Palomar IPL system
I did not expect nor did I get complete hair removal because of my lighter finer hairs.

HOWEVER, I followed up with an additional two treatments with the Alexandrite GentleLASE and now my underarms are completely hairfree.
I was able to have treatments using high energy levels with no negative side effects or any real discomfort.
